Welcome to MencionAI. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with any of the terms, do not use the platform.

Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to enter into binding agreements to use MencionAI. By creating an account on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind it to these Terms.
Services provided
MencionAI is a SaaS platform for GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) visibility. The services include: measuring how your brand appears in responses from AI providers such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok, and Perplexity; the Command Center with visibility scores, citation coverage, and mention coverage; daily scans per domain with configurable intent prompts; competitor monitoring; and brand reports. Feature availability and usage limits vary by subscription plan.
Account use
You are responsible for the confidentiality of your MencionAI account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree not to: (a) share credentials with unauthorized parties; (b) create multiple accounts for the same individual or company to circumvent plan limits; (c) use bots, scripts, or any unauthorized automation to access the platform. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that engage in abusive, fraudulent, or harmful behavior.
Subscriptions and billing
MencionAI operates on a subscription model. By subscribing to a plan you agree that: (a) subscription fees are billed in advance, on monthly cycles, in the currency selected at checkout (BRL or USD); (b) your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each cycle unless cancelled before the next renewal; (c) each plan includes a set number of domains, daily prompts per domain, and AI providers covered, as shown on the pricing page; (d) we may change pricing, features, or plan structure at any time, communicating material changes to active subscribers in advance. Payments are processed by Stripe — MencionAI does not store card data.
Plan limits and features
The Starter, Growth, and Enterprise plans define the number of included domains, daily prompts per domain, and available AI providers. Citation details are available across plans when citations are captured. Limits and features may change over time and are detailed on the pricing page and in the Command Center. Usage above plan limits may result in throttling, queueing, or blocking of new operations until the next cycle or a plan upgrade.
Free trial
We may offer a 7-day free trial for new users. A card is required at checkout to activate the trial, but no charge is made during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your account will automatically convert to a paid subscription and your card will be charged according to the plan selected. Each user or company is eligible for a single free trial. If you forget to cancel before the trial ends, contact us within 7 days of the first charge and we will offer a streamlined refund as described in Section 7.
Refund policy
MencionAI does not operate with prepaid credits or one-off purchases, so there are no per-task refunds. For subscriptions: (a) fees already charged are non-refundable; (b) cancellation preserves access to the plan until the end of the current cycle; (c) as a courtesy, we offer a full refund if requested within 7 days of the first charge and the platform has not been used in any meaningful way; (d) refunds are not owed for temporary unavailability or behavior changes of third-party AI providers, which are outside our control. Refunds are processed via the original payment method, unless otherwise required by law.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. For paid subscriptions, cancellation preserves access to your plan until the end of the current billing cycle; afterward, the account becomes inactive. Cancellations during the free trial take effect immediately and no charge is made.
Acceptable use
By using MencionAI you agree to: (a) use the platform only for legal and ethical purposes; (b) comply with the terms and policies of the AI providers monitored (ChatGPT, Claude, Google, DeepSeek, xAI, Perplexity, and others); (c) provide truthful brand, domain, competitor, and prompt information; (d) not use the platform for spam, manipulation of AI responses, prompt injection against providers, or other deceptive practices; (e) not attempt to bypass plan limits, reverse-engineer the product, overload the infrastructure, or access unauthorized areas. We reserve the right to reject prompts, scans, or content that violate these Terms.
Prohibited content
MencionAI does not allow use for: (a) adult, pornographic, or NSFW content; (b) illegal products, services, or activities; (c) misinformation, fake news, or deliberately deceptive content; (d) political astroturfing or public-opinion manipulation; (e) hateful, discriminatory, or harassing content; (f) infringement of third-party intellectual property; (g) malicious prompts intended to bypass AI provider policies. Violations may result in scan rejection, suspension, or termination without refund.
Intellectual property
MencionAI retains all rights to the platform, including technology, design, brand, visual identity, and proprietary tooling. You retain ownership of the content you submit (brand information, domain, prompts, competitor lists, and configurations). By submitting that content, you grant MencionAI a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use it solely to run scans, generate reports, and deliver the contracted services. You represent that you have the rights necessary to use the brands, names, and materials submitted to the platform.
Data and analytics
MencionAI collects and processes data to deliver its services, including: (a) executing prompts against AI providers and storing the public responses, detected citations, referenced sources, and associated metrics; (b) recording the provider, model, version, prompt, payload, and timestamp of each scan, for audit, comparison, and reprocessing; (c) campaign history, dashboards, and visibility analytics. MencionAI does not access your social networks, personal accounts, or third-party platform credentials. Additional details are in the Privacy Policy.
No guarantee of results
MencionAI provides tools and diagnostics to support your GEO strategy, but does not guarantee specific outcomes, including: (a) that your brand will reach a particular position, score, or citation coverage in AI responses; (b) that specific mentions will remain stable over time, since AI providers update models, training, and answers continuously; (c) that all relevant prompts will be captured; (d) that engagement, traffic, or conversion metrics will hit specific targets. AI providers have their own policies, models, and availability; changes, downtime, or behavior shifts on their side are outside MencionAI's control.
Changes to the platform
We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the platform at any time, with or without prior notice. This includes changes to features, functionality, the user interface, AI provider integrations, and service availability. Feature availability may vary by plan. Material changes affecting active subscribers will be communicated with reasonable advance notice.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law: (a) MencionAI is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform; (b) MencionAI is not liable for losses related to model changes, policies, or the availability of third-party AI providers; (c) MencionAI is not liable for the accuracy, completeness, or availability of data generated by AI models or third-party search tools; (d) MencionAI's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount the customer paid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. You use the platform at your own risk.
LGPD, governing law, and venue
Personal data is processed in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law 13.709/2018 — LGPD) and detailed in the Privacy Policy. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The courts of Florianópolis, Santa Catarina (SC), Brazil are elected as the venue for any disputes, except where a different venue is mandated by law. Users in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom also have rights under the GDPR, as detailed in the Privacy Policy.
