What is AI Recommendation Score (ARS)?

MencionAI’s 0–100 index of how strongly AI assistants recommend your brand—and how it differs from the plan visibility score.

Definition

AI Recommendation Score (ARS) is MencionAI’s proprietary 0–100 index of recommendation strength across your monitored prompts and AI models. It answers: “Are assistants recommending us more strongly this month than last?”—not only whether you were mentioned.

Eight weighted components

ARS combines frequency, position, citation quality, model coverage, sentiment, share of voice, prompt breadth, and consistency (when daily history exists). Each component is scored 0–100, then combined with fixed weights into one headline.

ARS vs plan visibility score

The Command Center overview hero is still the plan visibility score (coverage of mentions/citations for models your plan tracks). ARS lives on its own page and in Public API v2 as ars_score—use it for MoM recommendation strength, not as a drop-in replacement for coverage.

Where to find it

In the product: Dashboard → AI Recommendation Score. For integrations: Public API v2 visibility summary/overview (ars_score, ars_components) and series (ars_score). Scores are not available on API v1.
