How to read and act on ARS
Use month-over-month trends and the component breakdown—not single-day noise—to prioritize GEO work.
Prefer trends over spikes
Early after onboarding, cell coverage is still filling in. Read ARS over weeks or months. Pair the headline with the series chart so one noisy scan day does not drive strategy.
Read the breakdown
When ARS moves, open the components. Frequency and prompt breadth speak to presence; position and citation quality speak to recommendation strength and sourcing; share of voice and model coverage show competitive and multi-model gaps.
Keep the prompt set stable
ARS denominators reflect your monitored prompts and plan models. Changing the prompt set or upgrading models changes the landscape—compare periods with a consistent tracking scope when possible.
Turn gaps into actions
Low citation quality → own-domain proof pages and citation-worthy assets. Weak model coverage → content that travels across engines. Soft position → comparison and category pages that win ranked lists. Ship one action-plan item, re-scan, then check ARS and the matching component.
